Eve teasing and Stalking

EVE TEASING AND STALKING "Women are physically weaker than men and they are not equal " T his has been taught to girl from the day when she started to understand the real world (patriarchal dominated society) and somewhere girls have also readily compromised it to some extent. Women were generally considered to be physically and mentally inferior. They have been forced to make compromise and sometimes they have been pushed to give up their dreams by family. If I say "Women are always stronger than men", you might ask me who is weaker then? Obvious, it is men, who are weaker here. That's why they indulge in act of stalking and eve teasing in order to satisfy false male ego chauvinism and live in delusion that they are superior than women. Definition of EVE TEASING :- I t is widely accepted fact that historical injustice have been perpeuted against girl & women for many decades. They have become accustomed of systematic chain attack of such harrassement, de...

3P's : Pandemic, People and Pain

3P's : Pandemic, People and Pain   Govt caught napping, people lowered their guard too India, once again has been grappling with an ambush of second wave of COVID-19 pandemic and it is getting more frightening day by day. Exponential surge in cases, shortage of vital medicine, unavailability of oxygen, no oxygenated bed, people dying without getting proper treatment, crematorium full of dead bodies. Catastrophe all around the globe.  Entire system has been collapsed, public healthcare system is being put on ventilator, migrants once again started to flee like they did last year. Lockdown seems inevitable now. Last year, nation-wide lockdown has been imposed by govt in order to break the chain of contagious virus. But a pertinent question should be asked to highest echelons of power - why we have failed to ramp up healthcare infrastructure in last 1 year despite knowing the risk of second wave? They asked to bang thalis, we did it. Again they asked to lighting diyas, aga...

Ripped jeans? No, it's ripped mentality

Ripped  jeans ? No, it's ripped mentality  Recently Uttarakhand CM made a bizzare statement where he stated women in ripped jeans set a ‘bad example’. Attributing to an attire of women who had sat next to his flight, he said  “You run an NGO, wear jeans ripped at the knees, move about in society, children are with you, what values you will teach?” He didn't stop there at all, he further termed it as " kainchi wala sanskaar" (scissors culture).  Showing bare knees, wearing ripped denim and looking like rich kids - these are the values being given now. Where is this coming from, if not at home?  After facing backlash from all sections, he apologized for his remark but at the same time he still repeated his objection to 'ripped jeans'.  Frankly speaking, the real problem lies in sick and ripped mentality of male chauvinist. It reflects nothing but misogynistic and patriarchal attitude of men towards women.     According to sociologist Allan G. J...

Happiness lies in little things

HAPPINESS LIES IN LITTLE THINGS It is rightly said by Ralph Marston that Happiness is a choice, not a result. Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy. No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy. Your happiness will not come to you. It can be only come from you. Happines can be defined as a state of mind and the positive feeling when things are going great. But every person defines happiness as per their own convenience. For some, happiness is perfect bliss, but for other happiness is all about  great health and money. For some, happiness is that moment when you achieved your goal,  reunions with friends or family, watching good movies, or buying a first car or anything. Keeping all this in consideration and clubbed all different versions into one, we can say that definition of happiness varies from person to person and it depends on the person to person. If we look it at bigger picture, happiness can be equated with 'pleasure' and 'contentm...
